His teaching expertise includes Water & Waste Water Treatment, Industrial effluent plant Design and development, Environmental Monitoring, and has lots of interest in the areas of Soil, air, water & waste water pollution & prevention. Dr. H.B. Arvavind has a Total of 37 years of Research and Teaching experience for Under Graduate and Postgraduate students. He has also designed and developed and executed various funded projects in the areas of Ambient Air Quality Monitoring, Bio Monitoring of Water Quality, Bore well water qualities studies, Water Quality Monitoring etc.

Dr. H.B. Arvavind is an renowned consultant for EIA, Studies, design & installation of effluent treatment plants, and also very active in social concerns, contributing to various projects for the city of Davangere, including Water supply to Davangere city through Kundwada Lake, Road network, Low cost Housing construction for needy etc.

Dr. H.B. Arvavind has been honoured with Scientist of the year – 2011 by National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi. He is an active researcher with various national and international publications. He has also guided 8 students in successfully completing of their Ph.D.

He has completed his Ph.D (Environmental Engg), M.E (Environmental Engg) and B.E (Civil), F.I.E.
